The Glaucoma Service at the Hadassah Hospital, headed by Prof. Eytan Blumenthal, cares for difficult and complex glaucoma patients, coming from Jerusalem, as well as from other parts of Israel and the world.
Glaucoma patients, in general, can be divided into two groups: the first are patients with relatively stable glaucoma, who are cared for by community ophthalmologists. The second consists of more difficult cases, including complex glaucoma and patients with uncontrolled intraocular pressure. These more complex patients are referred to our tertiary center, where we have the knowledge, expertise and equipment to provide the best possible care.
